it’s the message sent into the group chat to see what everyone’s wearing and the cheap bottles of wine consumed that will later have a candle shoved inside to create ambiance

it’s the late night talks and hugging one another when someone starts to cry 

but it’s also giving each other a look to make sure that the man that’s started chatting them up at the bar isn’t a complete weirdo 

and it’s blocking off the older men when they get closer to you on the dance floor or when a random man backs you into a corner in the chippy when you just want your drunken indulgence of a kebab

it’s being able to tell if your friend is uncomfortable or actually doesn’t mind the person the interaction

it’s many things but something that really makes me laugh is the reply:

“cute top and jeans”
