To Reset

you never realise how long things take to reset

till you have to update your laptop in the middle of an essay

or when your trying to grow your hair out so you can put it back into a high pony tail

i realised when someone left a mark on my body

just a constant reminder of what they did to me

just waiting for it to go away

waiting for it to stop being just a huge part of me just because i see it every second of the day

but a part of me is grateful of this mark

that i got away when i needed to

but that doesn’t mean i can’t wait for it to reset

for me to start again
